    Thanks to all the organizers.

Here's what I wrote in "Beatrice Fairfax Don't You Dare" (A Romance & Relationships tribe):

The party last night, the portion actually at Tribe, was one of the best parties I've ever been to. Not because of the entertainment or the libations or the victuals. Because of the supporting structure of Tribe.net
What I mean by that is that nearly everyone coming to this party was a Tribe.net member. There was a shared experience going in. That already breaks the ice. You instantly have something real to talk about. The other thing I found is that without the usual greasing of my social wheels with a little fruit of the vine, I could look people full in the eye. I could say "hi!" proactively. I could mingle. This is stuff I usually SUCK at doing.
And it was great to be doing it relatively un-self-consciously. It made the party immensely enjoyable for me because I actually got to talk to people I didn't already know. (Instead of the usual constricted "talk to people you already know" party thing I do.)
The only bummer is that that vibe dissipated for me when we moved to Il Pirata. The only place to get away from the really loud conversation-killing music was the patio. And where there are patios, there's tons of smoke. It wasn't quite so bad as that, I guess, but the venue was just not as conducive to meeting and talking to folks. I wish we could have partied a little longer in the Tribe.net space.
What a swell night it was, though.

I'd like to recognize Walter for all the effort he put into this, and all the organizers, and of course each and every person who showed up and turned it into such a wonderful evening.

Many Thanks to Walter and all who organised and took part. What a great party. So weird to go to a party where I have never 'met' anyone before and yet 'know' people so well. Not only do I look forward to more Tribe parties, but now that many people met each other I think events through the various tribes will begin to gather momentum....

So I flew from Bloomington, IN to go to this party and to meet all of my Tribe friends, and to see my old friend Walter. It was so worth the trip. The party flew by. I barely stood still the entire time. It was so weird for people to recognize me when I didn't know them, or to meet people who don't use their own pictures. I really enjoyed myself. Honestly, this party could have been three times longer, and I wouldn't have met everyone I wanted to. I didn't even need the music. I never got to any of the extra activities. There were just so many people to meet.

And thanks again to each of you whom attended!

Tribe.net is like instant party mix -- just add "proximity" and stir vigorously.

    Walter,

While I did see you at the party, I didn't get a chance to meet and talk with you directly. I can only say THANK YOU ALL both the folks @ Tribe.net and all of the intensly interesting tribers. Big props to Walter, Dale, Darian and all of those who made this "THING" really HAPPEN! I so eagerly await the next "THING..."

I would also like to take some space/time to thank Barbie (Ms. Spell) for totally coming trough and giving m'lady "D." an awsome, lickable henna tat on her lower back. YOU FUCKIN ROCK BARBIE!!!

I loved the party atmosphere. I admit it was abit odd for me near the beginning. There was a load of people there who seemed to be forming groups, my guess was based off tribes they were in and it was abit intimidating to just walk up and chat with them. On the other hand, everyone was incredibly open once you did talk to them and friendly to boot. What a collection of people with incredible and interesting skills. Later in the evening, I actually started to meet people. I am truley thankful for such a wonderful chance to meet the people I see posting.

Did the rest of you manage to find the Karoke section? Spidra is a incredible singer and I enjoyed hearing (and singing) my own attempts, whether they sounded like some upset cats or like budding opera singers.

Was the contact juggling amazing or what? Made me want to learn it myself. Congrats to Mile on that. I'm already considering learning flame dancing (poi style) once I can find a group that meets at a time I can make it in my area.

The body art was awsome as well, I'll post the henna that MsSpell gave me (first time I ever got a body decoration although there are plans for more). It's a beautiful and stunning design, as is the lady who provided it to me.

It was interesting and in some way pleasurably disturbing to hear conversations spoken like they were posted in a thread. Not so much talking over each other or cutting off. See, Tribe teaches manners too.

Yeah. "You're real" was something I couldn't help but say. I think Liz was the first person who said it to me. Silly story: I was at Walter's, using his computer (of course) and talking to him. We were talking, and I gave him all these compliments. And then I told him that I was going through and validating everyone I'd met at the party, and then I said, "But I haven't validated you yet... Well, I just did... but not on Tribe." As if it only counts if I do it on Tribe. Is Tribe becoming more real than reality? That can't be good!
